Welcome to the second edition of The Strategist's Scoop—your weekly, hot-off-the-press download of copywriting and funnel secrets, from yours truly.
This morning I received a compliment that stopped me in my tracks... You see, I was interviewed for a summit and at the end of the interview, the host thanked me for sharing so much detail—detail that few educators are willing to share. It was truly the highest compliment.

Case Study: 5 New Members Overnight [Evergreen Funnel]
I closed out a live launch for my email marketing membership, Inbox to Income, at the end of May. Using the emails I'd created during that launch, I updated my evergreen funnel for the membership. The previous sequence dove straight into sales emails, but I decided to incorporate some prelaunch emails to nurture more intentionally before selling. I had a hunch this would boost the conversion rate.
But there was one catch: The new sequence spans over 30 days, so I had to wait (rather impatiently, I might add!) a few weeks to see the results.
Yesterday, the sales started coming in... and they didn't stop. At the time of writing this, I've had 5 new members in 24 hours. The conversion rate? A whopping 5.7%. Evergreen! This happened without me having to promote anything in real time. I spent the day with my kids and did no work.
For context, a 5.7% conversion rate is pretty high, especially for an evergreen funnel. The average conversion rate is around 1%, and my funnel used to convert just above 1%. So that's a great increase.
Here are a few takeaways:
- Know your data: Tracking your email open rates, click-through rates, and sales page conversion rates is crucial. It helps you pinpoint what needs tweaking to boost conversions.
- Repurpose your live launch content : Live launching is excellent for a quick cash injection. But if you can't do a massive live launch, a simple, low-lift email-based launch works well, especially if you plan to repurpose the sequence for evergreen.
- Always drive traffic: Constantly drive traffic through your evergreen funnel. You won't make sales without eyeballs on your offer.
I'm excited to see how this funnel continues to perform. Now that I know it converts very well, I've increased my Meta ad spend to drive more leads through it.

Your Email Marketing Plan for July
A new month is just around the corner. It's also midway through the year (if someone hasn't reminded you of that already 😉). Basically, it's the perfect time to up your email game! If you have no idea what to send your list, I gotchu' - give these ideas a whirl:
- Share your story: How you got started and why you do what you do
- Bust industry myths: What are 3 common beliefs about success in your industry that you don't agree with? Address them and share your hot take
- Explain why you created your offer and who you created it for. Who is a best fit? Get really specific and share about EXACTLY who this person is!
- Share a client transformation: Start with where they were before they worked with you, then explain the process + what they liked/enjoyed/valued about it, and close out with the outcomes they had from working with you
- Share an interesting tip: This should be something that's not commonplace in your industry. Something that can't be easily found on Google. It could be a case study like I've shared above! This will help establish you as an expert.
- Share your favourite podcast eps/books/resources you're consuming right now: Make sure these will be genuinely helpful for your audience too! Explain how the resource will help them.
